Hi, I’m Tae (they/he)
I am a white, queer, disabled, autistic, genderfluid therapist based in Houston, Texas. I specialize in working with clients exploring their gender, sexual, or romantic identity, relationship anarchy, late-diagnosed Autism or ADHD, adults seeking support around chronic pain and illness, and processing trauma. I am passionate about LGBTQ+ rights (and human rights in general), intersectional feminism, anti-racism, and dismantling systems of oppression. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process, built on mutual respect and authenticity. You know more about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences than anyone else—my role is to provide a safe, supportive, non-judgmental place for you to process your emotions and create a path moving forward.
My therapeutic approach will vary from person to person depending on individual need and unique lived experience. I often use a blend of somatic work and mindfulness paired with consent-based, feminist, narrative, trauma-informed, neurodiverse-informed, emotionally focused therapies. I primarily work with adults in individual and group therapy.
I hold a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University and completed my clinical internship at the Montrose Center.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Texas, under the supervision of Kimberly Harkey, MEd, LPC-S.
Fees + Insurance
Below are my standard rates for each service. If my session rate exceeds what you are able to pay, I offer sliding scale rates. I encourage open conversation about payment, and would be happy to discuss a feasible rate for both of us. If I am not in a position to take a lower fee, I will provide referrals to you for other practitioners.
Individual therapy (50 mins) - $100
Couples therapy (60 mins) - $150
Polycule therapy (60 mins) - $100 plus $50/partner
I am not in-network with insurance. If you have health insurance, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to them for out-of-network reimbursement. Please contact your insurance company directly to ask if your policy includes reimbursement for outpatient therapy services.
